When was Survivor Sparks founded?

Survivor Sparks was founded in 2025 after recognizing that fellow survivors lacked accessible spaces for healing and connection.

Are you a legitimate nonprofit?

Yes! We have our 501(c)(3) status courtesy of the Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships.

What services does Survivor Sparks provide?

We currently offer free informational guides and a blog for educational purposes.

We will provide a free forum with daily questions and conversations to help survivors feel part of a supportive community.

Throughout the year, we will also host guest speaker events and temporary, themed pop-up art installations to showcase survivors' work. Later in the year, we will also offer scholarships, community and campus events, and freelance writing opportunities.

Do I need to be based in Ohio to participate in the forums?

Heck no! The forums are open to women across the US. The community isn’t bound to just the state of Ohio.

Where does my donation go?

Your donation will support our programs and services, streamline our operations and marketing, and expand our staffing! Every dollar helps.

Where will the art exhibits be? And when?

We are planning on four exhibits in 2026 in Ohio and Pittsburgh, PA; but this is subject to change. Keep updated by checking out our events page and social media!

Are the informational guides and the forum free?

Yes! We want everyone to feel part of a community and to be informed.

Do you offer mental health services?

Unfortunately, Survivor Sparks doesn’t offer mental health services at this time.
